The ASCO 8040H8 is a highly responsive 3/8-inch 2-way normally closed gas shutoff valve designed for the pilot or main control of commercial and industrial gas burners. Constructed with a durable aluminum body, it features a 1.2 Cv flow capacity—safely handling up to 64,400 BTU—and comes equipped with 1/8-inch NPT upstream and downstream pipe taps for routine testing. Operating on a standard 120V system with a rapid response time of under one second, it can be conveniently mounted in any position for both double block and vent gas applications. Please note: The ASCO 8040H8 was discontinued by the manufacturer on October 20, 2013. The direct and exact replacement, featuring no modifications from the original, is the ASCO 8040H008.
